Istanbul Vizon Osmanbey | Vizon Hotel Osmanbey
This small hotel is located within walking distance of the Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque. We had plenty of room for our family of four. From the windows we could see the Blue Mosque and the top of the Hagia Sophia. Every morning we awoke to the sound of the muezzin from the Blue Mosque.
The hotel has an upper deck with awesome views over Istanbul. If you are planning a visit to Istanbul and have questions, comment below! We have only been here in March and April.
From what I know, it can be quite chilly, if not cold, during December. Depending on when you visit in December, crowds could be quite low first 2 to 3 weeks and get a little busier between Christmas and New Years, when people take vacations. Cheers, Julie.
That is a great piece of a tour guide on what to be cautious about while in Turkey. There is one area that you have not addressed, the issue on the internet access. I got a pocket WiFi from Skyroam and the internet speed was low until when someone recommended me to Rent n Connect who are very expensive though reliable. When is the best time to visit turkey?
I am planning to go to turkey for 15 days, so should include Greece with it? And when is the tulip season in turkey? Spring and fall are the best times to visit Turkey. If you want to see the tulips, visit Istanbul in April. We have a 10 day Turkey itinerary. With more time, you could go to Athens and one Greek island. I will be travelling to Istanbul for the first time this coming May.

Would anyone suggest to purchase a local SIM card or should I rent a pocket wifi for ease of navigation. Appreciate if anyone could recommend a local telco operator which provides calls and internet access, value for money for tourists. We usually buy a local SIM card.
